MeCTA Horse & Rider of the Year Guidelines

New for 2024, MeCTA will award four HROY awards as follows:

- 2-phase HROY (Introductory, Elementary, Advanced Elementary)
- 2-phase HROY (Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, and above)
- 3-phase HROY (Introductory, Elementary, Advanced Elementary)
- 3-phase HROY (Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, and above)
What do you need to do?
1. Become a MeCTA member for the current competition year.
2. Declare your horse using the HROY registration form (see page two of the HROY
document above). This must be done every year.
3. Have FUN competing in MeCTA 2-phases and/or 3-phases!
4. To be eligible for 2-phase HROY, you must complete FOUR 2-phase events and
for 3-phase HROY, you must complete TWO 3-phase events.
5. You must also complete at least FOUR hours of volunteering at MeCTA events.
6. Submit your HROY score report(s) by November 30 of the competition year.
